Most people first become eligible for Medicare around age 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period generally begins three months before the month you turn 65 and ends three months after your birthday month. If you are still working and have qualifying employer coverage, your enrollment options may be different. We can help you understand when you should enroll based on your individual situation.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative way to receive your Medicare Part A and Part B benefits through a private insurance company. Plans may also include prescription drug coverage and additional benefits.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare to help pay for certain out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover. Medicare Supplement plans generally do not include prescription drug coverage, so you may need a separate Part D plan.
If you have Original Medicare and want prescription drug coverage, you'll generally need a Medicare Part D plan or other creditable prescription drug coverage. Going without creditable drug coverage for an extended period could result in a late-enrollment penalty. We can help you review your prescription coverage options.
Yes, but when you can change your coverage depends on your circumstances and the applicable Medicare enrollment period. Certain life events may also give you a Special Enrollment Period. We can help you determine whether you're eligible to make a change and review your available options.
